All About MapleStory 2: Tips & Tricks

Welcome to the hottest, new, 3D, free-to-play, massively multiplayer online role-playing game, MapleStory 2. That probably sounds overly complex, but I can assure you that the game itself is as elegant as it is interesting and beautiful. I’ll explain in a minute, giving you an overview of the new game and some tips on how to get started, but before I begin, know that the game is still in development, and therefore any information you read about the game today could be outdated tomorrow.

About the game:
If you’re familiar with the original game, MapleStory, many of the features of this new game will likely feel very similar. Major aspects of the original game have been copied to the new one and applied to the 3D environment. Most mobs, NPCs, and locations make a return in this sequel, though there are several changes. MapleStory 2 is intended to be a prequel to MapleStory, taking place before the events of the original game and before the rise of the black mage. The three Sages who live in Lapenta keep the origin of the world’s life, time, and space in balance, but dark forces broke the balance and have put the world in a state of crisis. It’s up to you, controlling one of four classes (Archer, Magician, Warrior, or Rogue), to restore the balance.

Tips: Being one of the more popular online games in Malaysia, many useful tips from the games’ top players have already surfaced. I’ve laid them out for you below:

• Do quests: Do any quest you can; especially when you’re first starting out. For level’s 1 through about 14, quests are going to be your best friend. It’s usually pretty easy EXP and you’ll level up relatively quickly.
• Grinding: As you level up, more of the map becomes accessible to you. If you’re bored of quests, explore the world and finds places with large numbers of mobs that you can kill for EXP. Hangout in these places, grinding away, and as you level up be sure to keep exploring as new areas become better places for you to grind in.
• Assemble a good crew: Being part of a strong crew will allow you to enter the more “dangerous” areas sooner, and level up more quickly by killing the higher level mobs.
And that’s it for our introduction to this cool new game. Be sure to check in at the different online community hubs for news and updated information and use your brand new knowledge to grow your skill and impress your friends. Thanks so much for checking out these tips, and good luck.
